Christmas Candlelight

Today is Christmas Eve. As much as I did my best to make it not a stressful day it went haywire when we left to go to the 2:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service at Prestonwood. Traffic was everywhere! It is amazing to me how many people wait till the last minute to complete their shopping. Nevertheless, we arrived safely and enjoyed a really nice candlelight service. There is just nothing prettier than thousands of candles being lit from darkness. While the candles were being lit this is the song that was sung. My heart was so moved.

Lord
Let your light, Light of your face
Shine on Us

Lord
Let your light, Light of your face
Shine on Us

That we, may be saved
That we, may have life
To find our way
In the darkest night
Let your light, Shine on us

Lord
Let your grace, Grace from your hand
Fall on us

Lord
Let your grace, Grace from your hand
Fall on us

That we, may be saved
That we, may have life
To find our way
In the darkest night
Let your grace, Fall on us

Lord
Let your love, Love with no end
Come over us

Lord
Let your love, Love with no end
Come over us

That we, may be saved
That we, may have life
To find our way
In the darkest night
Let your love, Come over us

Let your light, Shine on us

I pray each of you has a wonderful Christmas. May you come to understand in a new way the proclamation that the angels made on that night so long ago. Luke 2:10-11 "I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
